Kumar’s recent releases, Sarfira and Khel Khel Mein have both become audience favourites. Sarfira hit theatres in July and began streaming on Disney Plus Hotstar on 11th October. It quickly secured the number 1 spot in viewership within just a week.

Akshay Kumar continues to deliver impressive films

Khel Khel Mein premiered on the big screen in August. It started streaming on Netflix on 9th October, and has also made waves. In just four days, the comedy-drama racked up 4 million views. The movie amassed 8.7 million hours of watch time and has ranked number 1 across Asia. The film is trending in the top 10 in 13 countries, reaffirming Akshay Kumar’s widespread popularity.

His remarkable ability to connect with audiences has solidified his status as the King of OTT. And there’s more to come. Akshay Kumar will be seen in films- Sky Force, Housefull 5, Welcome To The Jungle, and Jolly LLB 3. Adding to the excitement, he will reprise his iconic role as Sooryavanshi in Rohit Shetty’s Singham Again. It is set for a Diwali release and is one of the most anticipated films of the year. Singham Again is the 5th instalment of Shetty’s cop universe.

Akshay Kumar has been a recipient of two Filmfare Awards from 13 nominations: Best Villain for Ajnabee, Best Comedian for Garam Masala, and a National Film Award for Best Actor for the films Rustom and Airlift. In 2008, the University of Windsor conferred an honorary Doctorate of Law on Kumar in recognition of his contribution to Indian cinema. The following year, he was awarded the Padma Shri by the Government of India. In 2011, The Asian Awards honoured Kumar for his outstanding achievement in Cinema.
